Gesha is one of the rarest and most sought after coffee varietals in the world. Many coffee fanatics know the story by now; an Ethiopian heirloom varietal, transplanted into the forests of Panama, discovered at a best of Panama cupping in 2004, subsequently sweeping the awards and popping up in barista competitions, cup of excellence and commanding the attention of the coffee world. Its subtle, floral and dynamic bouquet of flavors breaking record after record high prices at coffee auctions and exclusive roasters the world over. Now we have seen the Gesha varietal be transplanted all over Central America, Costa Rica and returning to its ancestral homeland of the Gesha forest of Ethiopia, forging together the floral, fruity and delicate flavor of the best Ethiopian coffees with the terroir of lauded coffee growing soil in Central America, somehow creating something wholly unique. We couldn’t imagine a better coffee to launch our new limited release line with.

This particular Gesha is one of the first we’ve tasted from Colombia and it blew our doors off. A fully washed coffee that tastes like an exactingly clean natural, fruit forward, subtle and delicate. With notes of papaya, pear and a light, sweet honeysuckle finish, you likely have never had a Colombian coffee like this.

This is our first foray into limited release coffees, so we will have a very limited stock of engraved tins with 100g of this rare coffee in each one.
